SAP Data Archiving Consultant

We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Archiving Consultant to design and implement archiving solutions for our global clients. You will help optimize system performance, manage data lifecycle, and ensure compliance with retention policies.

About the role

You will work on SAP Archive (Data Archiving) projects including Archive Development Kit (ADK), SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), and retention management. You will collaborate with Basis and functional teams to define archiving objects and execute archiving runs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SAP Data Archiving strategies (FI, MM, SD, and custom objects)
• Configure and run archive jobs; manage archive files and retrieval
• Work with ILM retention and legal hold scenarios
• Support system performance tuning through data volume management
• Document archiving processes and train client teams

Requirements

• 3+ years hands-on experience in SAP Data Archiving / Archive Development Kit
• Knowledge of SAP ILM and retention warehouse
• Understanding of one or more functional modules (FI, MM, SD) for object selection
• Good communication in English; comfortable working remotely with global teams

Nice to have

• S/4HANA data volume management and migration experience
• Experience with Near-Line Storage (e.g. SAP IQ, Hadoop)
